An Irish Pub in Bombay !

Could it be? Sure, couldn't wait to visit this one, it looked quite promising! One of my friends Vernica decided to take to that place. When we entered Irish House, we were looking for a Bar around Phoenix Mill Compound. As soon as you enter you're encompassed by this cool rock 'n' roll vibe. It's just your typical pub atmosphere, bricky, wooden tabled wonder, with your sports channels being broadcasted everywhere and of course, The BAR. The bar was a glorious one, to be sure. I even liked the fact that they had a very spacious seating area, though reservations are required. The crowd was a good mix, and the music was conducive to a fun evening out with a few friends and beer. Very Sports Bar-esque.

The interiors have touch of wood all over with good seating arrangement. And to keep up with the tradition of Irish pubs, even Irish House has bar stools where people can sit by the bar and order their drinks and food. For those in the bigger group, you have choice of corner tables or big tables in the center. Luckily got seat @ the bar. The ambiance is good. It’s warm, pub like decor, a great center bar, booths and tables with interesting posters on the walls. Everything just adds to the fun, relaxed feel.

We tried the Basket of Fries (served with 3 dips – just loved it!), Grande Nachos (served on a big plate – Not too good but okayish!), and what a Gorgeous bar! No words for it. Irish House is a fun place to go to; however, it is not exactly Irish; Instead an amalgamation of Italian, bar food and Mexican. For a place that is called 'Irish House', it should have some of the Irish traditional dishes - stew, butter milk mash potatoes, corn beef sandwich. The only traditional dish that I saw was the shepherd’s pie. The food is nothing very special but tasty nevertheless. The service is good and warm. Price wise, Irish House is on steeper side if you don’t hit the happy hours.

Although the beer selection could have used a bit more Irish and imported beer, the selection isn't bad. It is a good place to go and grab a casual drink after a work day with colleagues and friends. At first sight it looks like a bar that's definitely going to burn a hole in your pocket! But surprise surprise, it really doesn't! :-) The cocktails (Tasted one with Vodka) are delicious! Well blended and inexpensive they will definitely leave you wanting more! This is a great place to watch a sports game or to just hang out! The staff is really nice and the place is a buzz with mainly office goers. It has a really chilled out vibe to it and for the beer drinkers, this place is heaven. Their keg of draft beer is really cheap and heard it’s delicious too. For the foodies, the potato basket is a definite yes.

The music moves from retro to rock to commercial as the night progresses and definitely satiates any mood you may be in. The bar/ pub feel gives way too more of a night club vibe as more and more people get high and start dancing at every available spot they can find. Overall a nice convivial atmosphere, decent food, and a fun evening on the whole. Will I be going back? Absolutely, whenever I visit Mumbai next time.

Drinking the wild Aer !!

Wow is the word which first comes to you instinctively, when you step onto the open terrace bar at the Four Seasons, Mumbai. Knocked my socks off; totally, what a view - super awesome. The unobstructed panoramic view of the Maximum city, with the stark juxtapositions of the glitzy skyscrapers and crumbling down mills, is more like essence of Mumbai, in a nut shell! Such is this dream city. Aer had been on my wish list since I visited Mumbai and thanks to one of my best friends; Vernica who took me there.

The lead up to this open air, über cool bar, builds a preamble of sorts to what one can expect beyond the flight of staircase leading up to the terrace. This place is an architect’s delight. There is just so much to absorb and due appreciation is necessary. The dim light flight of stairs is flanked by a stunning feature glass wall. The lighting is tantalizingly dim.
Aer gave the feeling of a perfect place where all I want to do is listen to the music, engross in the beauty and just relax. It’s divided into 2 pars giving you the view of 2 different sides of Worli. One with sea is facing and one with non sea facing. But obvious we preferred the sea facing one. Sitting arrangement is modern keeping in the young crowd. What we loved about this place is view. Sea, building, road, bridge, It has everything. At night it gives a feeling of you being outside India. The Crowd Here Is Upper Class Business Elite's. All About the Place Is Ambiance

Contemporary low level white sofas, an egg shaped bar manned by trained bartenders add to its exclusivity. What struck me the most is the funky seating contours in white, as against the conventional bar / lounge seating? There is a whole minimalist approach to design. The terrace is framed with glass which gives one a seamless view to the city lying yonder. The price here is befitting a 7 star property but you can pick your food/drink options wisely
This is a lovely place for those special occasions, the view is priceless and I am sure so will be the moments. Visit Aer with your special someone and I am sure it’ll be totally worth every buck.

The Delhi guy !

So, enough of umpteen posts being shared on Facebook which ridicule Delhi boys for being jerk. It might be very difficult to believe but there are indeed some perfectly nice gentlemen living in Delhi. There have been protests, candle night marches, face book communities deriding all kinds of stereotypes but this is one stereotype that has stood the test of time without anyone raising a voice. Imagine what a nice guy in Delhi goes through when his own sister or best friend puts on her wall – “All Delhi men are losers, assholes etc”. So at the outset I would like to declare to all the folks around the world in SRK style –
“Dear All, I am a Delhi Guy and I am not a rapist” (I feel all guys in Delhi should put this as their Status Messages as a sign of protest)

What no one understands is that being a nice guy in Delhi is a damn difficult task. At every point in their life such guys have to suffer humiliation and indignation. A polite, gentle, chivalrous guy will most likely be branded as a wuss very early in his life. And after that his entire life is a struggle.
In case some guy is stupid enough to give his seat to a lady in metro out of genuine goodness, he will have to hear backbiting in not so repressed voices – “Sala, ladki ko impress kar raha hai”. To avoid this most nice guys stay miles away from the ladies section of the Metro Compartment or the left side of DTC buses. This means all the females only encounter the “Not so nice” people standing near them. narrow-minded in their viewpoint, the ladies generalize and “rape every guy’s character”.

Because of the “Delhi image”, the nice ones tend to overcompensate by being over polite. Somehow they feel that the entire burden of enhancing the image of the city is on their shoulders. I remember I have missed my bus stop many times because of some girl with headphones blocking my path to the door. Of course she was too busy to hear me and I was too polite to touch her. I know of a friend who controlled his nature calls for two hours because he was sitting on the window seat of the airplane with two chicks sitting to his left. Had he tried to go, the girls would have given him “Die, You cheapster” look. Damn, all the niceness!!

Another baseless accusation against Delhi boys is that they abuse a lot. I know that they use BC, MC in almost every sentence but ask anyone who uses it and he will tell you that “Oh BC” is a major stress reliever. I have never understood why a person using the F-word is considered cool while the one using the B-word a vernacular. It’s all down to our imperial hangover. Harvard, Wharton or any other American B school should do a research (Only they have time for such stupid researches. Indian Bschoolers prefer social work :D) and compare the stress reliving powers of the two words and I am sure Bc will win hands down over the English counterpart. So next time some guy exclaims “Oh BC!! You are looking amazing” in front of you please consider it as a very genuine compliment, one coming from the bottom of the heart.

Apart from the apathy towards females, Delhi people are also blamed of being cold on Delhi Roads. What people must know is that almost all of the cab and bus drivers hail from the neighboring H State( ironically  my forefathers belong to this very H State). And that state is most famous for producing Olympic Wrestling Champions. Need I say more??? When you hit a car or commit an accident on Delhi Roads, YOU RUN, and not wait for the opposing driver to come up and smash your windscreen. Years ago, I was travelling with my friend and he hit a biker. Instinctively, I tried to come out and help the biker. My friend pulled me back into the car and fled. I had missed the quickly gathering mob comprising solely of bus and cab drivers. Even today my friends pull my leg and have a good laugh at my stupidity. Unfortunately, I have to agree to their opinion.

Stride so Steep; Sugar so Sweet !!!

“The Cloud is Open” that’s what SugarCRM say. Indeed the cloud is open for SugarCRM now as according to The Wall Street Journal, IBM is planning to replace its Siebel based customer relationship management (CRM) products with software owned by open-source software-as-a-service (SaaS) vendor SugarCRM (an 8-year-old company backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson and two other venture funds), HP recently revealed that it too would be replacing Siebel with products provided by SaaS.

These days, more and more companies are adopting SaaS applications which is sometimes called Web-based software, on-demand software, or hosted software. Whatever the name, SaaS applications run on a SaaS provider’s servers. The provider manages access to the application, including security, availability and performance.

IBM was the world's largest deployment of Siebel applications, and this replacement is an indication of the pressure on Oracle's application business. The contract demonstrates how quickly a relative startup (SugarCRM) can establish credibility in the fast-moving market to provide Web-based software, frequently referred to as the cloud. Within such a short span of time, Sugar already has more than 10,000 customers globally and The contract, which IBM was shopping as far back as two years ago, also shows how rivalries between technology giants can impact business relationships.

For SugarCRM, the IBM deal gives the company more legitimacy and shows its ability to secure key contracts against larger foes. SugarCRM is building a business aimed at delivering management services around a core of open-source software that clients can deploy in a private or public cloud.

SugarCRM continues to distribute its software through 350 partners worldwide and generates revenue by offering services wrapped around the open-source code.

Rollercoaster Life

I’ve been thinking a lot about life lately, the last entry in my blog is an ultimate example to the extent of my thoughts. So, what’s life?? I might sound a depressed asshole, but you will agree with me as you read through. Life's nothing but a shithole filled with hate; we must still dare to hope, filled with anger; we must still dare to comfort, filled with despair; we must still dare to dream and a world filled with distrust; we must still dare to believe but there has to be a limit to this “hope”. You never get what you want, rather you get everything that you want or desire but there’s a full stop to the thing you want the most. Why does it happen? Is it bad to desire? Is it bad to have the best thing in the world? Life’s very unfair most of the time; sometimes it’s good, sometimes full of shit, no matter how it is, you still have to face it. The most unreasonable thing about life is the way it ends and the way it starts.. I mean, life is harsh. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A Death! What's that, a gratuity? I believe the life cycle is all backwards rather it should be like; You should die initially, get it out of the way after that you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you're too juvenile, you get a gold chain watch, buy a BMW, wear Gucci shoes, you go to work. You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You do drugs, alcohol, you party and you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back into the womb and you spend your last nine months floating......and you finish off as an orgasm.” That’s the way you should die.

Earth versues Flying Saucers

It's 7 am in morning and the thing that triggered me to write this blog post is a movie named "The Fourth kind" that I saw a couple of hours back which depicts the existence of UFO's and their actions in the past. I was kinda disturbed by the facts shown in the movie and decided to do my research. Finally came to a conclusion after going through numerous theories, pictures, research papers, case studies or you may just say facts.
Many would say that the question of whether we're alone in the universe was answered some time ago so why the hell is this topic up again, it’s because we didn’t listen, bcoz we just decided not to. Well that's not entirely true. Some people did listen. They had no choice by happening to be in the right place at the right time, whilst others found themselves in the right place at the wrong time.
"The fundamental question is: Are we alone? For the first time, there's optimism that sometime in our lifetimes we're going to get to the bottom of that," said Simon "Pete" Worden, an astronomer who heads Nasa's Ames Research Centre.
According to me, of course there is an enormous amount of evidence out there if you know where to look. There continues to be a large number of professional, trustworthy and dedicated UFO investigators around the world that carry out imperative work in the field, either individually or as part of organizations. There are other information sources however, that we would be well advised to consider with more caution. The trick is in knowing where to draw the line between the two of them.
The physical evidence of space invader visitation is overwhelming. People, who can’t see beyond the boundaries of “whatever” religion they worship, usually have problems with the possibilities of life existing outside this planet. I remember once a lady who was lot into gods and all told me, “Life does not exist outside this planet, because Jesus only died for people on this planet”. Now that’s a scary comment to make in the 21st century. Remember, people like these are driving cars exceeding 70mph with a narrow divider between you and them. Oh and forget about the millions of other people who have different religious beliefs. Bottom line, we are not alone in this spiral galaxy.
I feel it necessary to point out that I have never seen a UFO myself, or had any personal experience with the phenomenon first hand. My part in all of this is simple: to bring the issue to a wider view, but in such a way that it makes you think out of the box and give the UFO occurrence a serious consideration it deserves. In doing so, maybe you get curious and come up with new beautiful thoughts.
What are the odds of other planets harbouring life?
What are the odds of life developing on other worlds? Very high indeed.
Some research has been done by a guy named Stephen Hawkins and a multitude of world renowned scientists. Logical calculations have brought them to the conclusion that life is probably not unique to earth. They discovered this by analyzing the universe and quantifying supernatural bodies. They have accomplished this by an extensive process of erdadication. Their findings concluded that the odds are astronomically high that life could have evolved on other galaxies and most agree that is more a probability than a possibility. Some people might wonder why we have no physical evidence whatsoever. There are many reasons for this fact but basically, Aliens who control UFO’s are way more advanced than us and they do not wish to reveal themselves. Way advanced of us could mean billions of years ahead in technology. With the age of the universe at around 20 billion years, life could have evolved before and/or after human beings. The odds that they would have evolved at our rate are next to impossible.
Some people might argue that the spaceship could break down and we would see some physical evidence in the case of an accident. But again, their technology would be so superior that they wouldn't crash, a near impracticality. If they have the technology to travel to earth on a journey of let's say millions of light years away, why would they crash on earth? Come on guys, it’s no joke to create such beautiful objects with diameter more than a mile and which don’t even make noise when they move.
In the past, we have found Alien looking skulls, ancient monuments that we would have trouble building today, metals that don't originate on Earth. I saw a picture of a pyramid that is kept in a British museum in London. This Pyramid hardly has a diameter and height of half a metre each and can you guess how much does it weigh?? Okay, it weighs more than 2 tons. Can you beat that? I haven’t heard of any metal on this planet that weighs so much. So, I think this material might not belong to this planet, but then how did it reach here? And that too so nicely shaped. So, this adds to the questions you should ask to yourself.
Alright let’s just move on to Aliens. I have read out an article which tells that there is an instrument which is something similar to a stereo system kept on space which constantly says “we are your friends” in all the languages that is known to exist on Earth. This is done only to make Aliens understand (if any present) that there is also one more planet where life Exists and the same is named as Earth. Around millions of individuals have claimed to have seen a UFO but not so many have claimed to have seen Aliens. They all can’t be wrong or dumb enough to chalk out a difference between a bird/aeroplane and an Unidentied Flying object..
For any life to exist, the basic need is oxygen and water and the traces of these two are only found on Earth as of now. But, Just think this way what if a new genus is existing which can live without the above said two, This is where Aliens comes into reality and this is how many claim saying that Extra terrestrial life is possible. But, like all other mysteries this will also be solved only when people get some concrete proofs.
I'll leave at this last node that will surely agitate the “non science” individuals who can still read. Based on science and the law of statistics, “The possibilities of life existing outside this planet, are greater than the possibilities of life existing on this planet”. Think about it, there is an extremely high probability of life starting on one little planet compared to millions, billions of other planets which can create life a lot easier. That leaves no option other than maybe it’s just us who are Aliens to them.

Breathless Apple name rumor: It’s the iPad

Some weeks ago, in San Francisco and with much fanfare, Apple launched their latest product, the iPad. Not since the iBook of genesis has there been such a reaction to an Apple story. What is all the fuss about??Well, the price for one thing. It costs $499 for the basic and $829 for the top one (with 64GB and 3G). This may sound a lot but personally, I was expecting it be around $1000.

Now, what do you get for money?? Well, Its half an inch thick, weighs 1.5 lbs and has a 10 inch screen. It looks like an iPhone fed with steroids but technically, it’s called a tablet and it’s supposed to fill the gap in the market between the smart phones and the laptops. This area has proved something of a Bermuda Triangle for the computing industry. In the early nineties Apple launched the “Newton”. It was also a tablet and it flopped massively… though Microsoft also tried a couple of things but master blaster Bill gates could not get hold of it.

Now, If we look at iPad with the end-user’s point of view, What is the point of a phone which is too big to put in you pocket or a lap top without a keyboard?? What does an iPad actually do?? The answer is both “Surprisingly little” and “Pretty much everything”. It lacks, what Tech-geek call, a “killer-application”, meaning it can’t make you a cup of tea (although how long before Apple launches iTeasmaid?). It does more or less the same stuff as the iPhone, only it’s bigger, that’s all. But in that key detail lies a host of killing applications. Size, in the instance matters. Lots of things are better on bigger screen, “The bigger the better”. Things like reading, coding or gaming. A bigger screen is also better for videos, but iPad lacks on movies, but it’s a matter of time, I guess. In the meantime you can amuse yourself by playing Computer games. iPad has something for every age group, be it gaming, coding or viewing pictures, but alternatively if you are too grown-up for such things you could also use it for work as it has eReader for ePapers and eBooks.

But the iPad is far from perfect. It’s many flaws have not escaped the reviewers.

Firstly, and by far the most serious, the iPad can do lots of things, but it can’t do them all at a time. You can’t, in other words listen to Spotify whilst browsing.

Second, and most surprising, there is no camera, not on the front for iChat, nor on the back for taking pictures. Can you believe this? These days, even things that come in cereal packets are supposed to have a camera on them.

Third, the iPad can’t deal with flash content on websites. This isn’t a big deal on something as small as the iPhone but it will leave big holes in the tablet’s browsing experience.

Then there are the smaller gripes; it can’t handle widescreen or HD; it needs too many adapters; it has a silly name (faintly suggestive of feminine hygiene).

But the Apple detractors are missing the point. It isn’t finished product. It’s a new platform for programming developers. Imagine what all those clever app creators could come up with a bigger screen. One of the developers on Facebook, Joe Hewitt spelt out the implications: “If you are a developer and you are not thinking about how your app could work better on the iPad and its descendants, you could deserve to get left behind,” that’s what is different about the iPad- it has potential.

GAMING : Animated Roulette ????

I don't really mind people occasionally playing PlayStation/PSP/XBox or to say just Video Games but when they become obsessed and feel like they have to play at least three to four hours a day, it just takes the idea to a whole new extreme.
I find it hard to understand how these people can endlessly play Video Games, isolating themselves from everyone else. Even when two people play a Video Game together, they become so involved with the game losing all sense of happenings around them.
Seriously, where's the enjoyment in shooting someone like one does in Call of Duty/ Counter Strike or in Fifa, where you play "Cyber" Football, you play the same game again and again, surely it's more fun to play actual football, with real people? It does make me concerned for these people who spend most of their time in front of their TV with holding something with both hands... eh... a Gaming controller.. Don't think too much...
As a sociable person, I find it hard to understand why someone would sit in front of a TV, not talk to anyone else in the room, and just play what?? yeah, that's right.."Video Games". It just seems like a very boring thing to do. My brother and husband love to play Xbox/PSP,( Brother??, Husband??? WTF are you talking abt?? Right? Okay, read it till the end or you may have a wrong impression.., you might have lost the track too..so... ) My brother and husband love to play Xbox/PSP and when I look at their faces whilst they are playing, I see focus, intensity and "don't you dare disturb me look". I remember once my husband had thought he'd lost his PSP, I have never seen him panic so much and he threatened to hurt someone if it was not found. Whether he was serious or not, Who knows, but as a long time Video Game player you wouldn't want to mess with his console.
There are lot of arguments about people who play video games, but I get on with all of them, but just cant see why they would spend their time playing games rather than going out clubbing or whatever else.
But maybe, because I just like going out having a boogie, I prefer to dance rather than sit in front of a screen. Going to Yates, where you see so many people, maybe any of your freind, (that's quite hard though) and get to catch up on gossip and everyday life is so much more fun than playing on a Video Game against someone who you don't even know or a bloody computer operated soldier/Player.
Obviously people Video game for other reasons, but everyone has a friend they can talk to. Again, I don't mind people who play Video games, but its those who don't recognise the balance between reality and cyber who let down the majority.

On the contrary, I love playing games. Surprised?? Why the hell would I write such a stupid article then?? Okay, clearing the fog off your glasses, this post is dedicated to My lovely Sister "Nidhi" who keeps saying all this whenever I play (:P). I guess, now she'l believe, that I understand her and I don't do it intentionally, gaming is addictive and you just can't control yourself once you are into it, After all, what kind of insane kid would grow up to hate chocolate if your favorite Aunt owned a chocolaterie, huh?.... or maybe this post is just a platform to play more without getting disturbed next time. :P Keep thinking....

Adios, Keep playing Gamers !!!!
Go..Go...Go....!!!!

Liveliness of bristol

Bristol is one of the UK's most amazing and inspiring cities. It's also very lively place with a vibrant cultural and social scene. There is everything from live music clubs to independent films, modern shopping malls to historical landmarks, bars and international restaurants. There's something for everyone whatever you interests.
Upon visiting the university, I was taken away with the beauty of the city and the friendly staff at the university, especially in the Engineering Faculty department. It seemed like a very welcoming and supportive environment. I felt lucky to be greeted by lecturers who were clearly at the forefront of their research areas, not only their expertise, but also their genuine interest in the thoughts and options of their students strike as a rare combination. I really love it here. It has got everything a good city offers as well as being pretty safe. There seems to be a good mix of people, although it does live up to its posh kid stereotype a bit, but generally the normal happy people seem to find each other and have an awesome time here. Everything is a little bit more elegant in United Kingdom, from the cars to the clothes; from the houses to the bridges. It really makes you appreciate beauty in a different way. You can appreciate the pure English style of the houses and I felt like another era. The city is totally wild! you can stay out all night if you want to and not be bored. There are some weeks where we've been out somewhere different every night. There's a massive mix too, from cheesy clubs to Brazilian dance music, so you get to figure out what you really like. I have grown very fond of Bristol. When the weather is clear, u can see for miles from the Clifton Suspension Bridge and with just a short walk away is the Downs & Ashton court Estate, where you can walk, run or bike for miles undisturbed. I think these open areas add to everyone’s enjoyment of the city...

The Wills Memorial Building- The construction of the building began before the World War I and took almost 100 years to built. It is situated on Queens Road, at the top of Park Street. It is Bristol's most prominent landmarks & is regarded by most people with the University of Bristol. This tower is impressive, quite high and is encircled by brightly-colored heraldic shields .There is a bell weighing over 9.5 tons, which strikes every hour above the noise of the city traffic.

Clifton Suspension Bridge- It’s the jewel in Bristol!! Its world famous because of its spectacular setting on the cliffs of the Avon Gorge, drawing thousands of visitors a year just to stroll across for views of the gorge and elegant Clifton. I have always been fascinated by architecture, but to come and see this 700 foot long & 250 foot high bridge that was build in 1836 really blew my expectations. There is no fee for crossing the bridge but you can buy a yellow button for a donation to keep the bridge in good shape, plus all vehicles crossing have to pay a toll. Crossing it gave me the chills of history that was made here, thinking about all the people that used this bridge since 1836 and it is in impeccable shape. This bridge is located on such a height that once you are on it you can feel the wind blowing at an extreme pace.

The More Explored , The Less Understood Goa !!

Goa is one of the most beautiful places in India gifted with sun kissed beaches, nature’s tranquility and exotic natural beauty. Thousand of visitors from across the world visit this carnival state to enjoy their holidays in splendor. Goa is gifted with innumerable tourist attractions with marvelous forts, catholic churches, temples, palm fringed beaches and coconut grooves. No visitor will ever get bored, in fact the lively environment of this carnival state is sure to make visitors spell bound. People visit this romantic state to enjoy their holidays in the most splendid way. In this little heaven Nature is always at its best and the charming beaches are simply irresistible.

Day 1-

In Goa, the rickshaw, taxi drivers and guest houses owners are just waiting to fleece you and we were not going to let this happen to us. So, we had already booked the LIC guest house for us beforehand, we didn't have to put in extra money for the stay. Another sensible thing we did was we hired 5 Honda Activa's and a bike. That really made the trip more enjoyable for next 4 days, we hired them from Colva beach. One of the wise decisions in retrospect was to have arranged a self-driven jeep that made moving around adventurous, enjoyable and economical. So, we hit Colva beach as soon as we hired our vehicles. After an hour of craziness in water, we started playing beach footy and all the random stuff (for many, being at a beach was the first experience), we were like done for the day, but then me and one of my friends, Bhitesh decided to go deep into the water together to enjoy the view from deep inside the sea.
Then we were headed towards the Benaulim beach, one of the best beaches of Goa. Had a great time and then sat down at some shack; enjoyed some shots with lovely candle lights on table, the tides got high and the sound of water was mind blowing.
After the hectic day we were off to the guest house, Aj's GPS helped us throughout the journey.

Day 2-

It’s never easy to wake me up early morning and that was what Aseem and Kartikey realized that day. We had decided to leave early for Calingut Beach and till 10:30 I was like showing no signs of getting up :P. With a driving force to enjoy this trip to the fullest, I was finally up. Had a nice breakfast at the guest house made by our dear Happie bhaiya (I'l have to write another article if I need to descibe that creature) and we were headed towards Beach Calingut. I was like "Get up now you lazy bum, don't spoil your day lying in bed".

Romance at Beach Calingut ;) The beach was stuffed with mallu and goan aunties and hell lot of people, enjoying with their loved ones. Looked pathetic to me and we left within an hour after inquiring about Water Sports. Depressed from the Calingut we were headed to Bagha beach.
Bagha beach brought in some energy into our body. Some (in fact a lot) pretty chicks roaming around, loud music, water sports, beach side massage and everything you expect from a beach could be seen there. We targeted water sports first and went for that scary and crazy scooter ride (Wonder how those scooter guys operate the whole day in that salty water). After bitching for about 30 minutes in salty sea water with banana ride and carpet ride, we headed for the deadly para sailing.
It was an experience of a lifetime, with my body floating in mid air. I asked the bhaiya to allow me to jump into the water, but he was too scared..hot blood listens none; I jumped into the water in the middle of the sea and it was just too good, just awesome. I love water; it makes me feel relaxed, be it swimming in the pool or just jumping into the tank of my house :P. In the evening we had our dinner at Sher-e-Punjab, a so-so restaurant on Beach Calingut.
We planned out to visit the famous Saturday night market before hitting the discotheque. However, unfortunately it had been shut down during the off season. We were soon out of that place, roaming on the streets of Goa before we hit Goan roads at mid night.

Day 3-

With reasonable road signage and helpful souls on the streets, driving on Goa roads felt like the most natural thing to do, especially for Indians, used to the Indian driving rules! ;). We did have some trouble with missing signage on critical points but generally the roads appeared clean, wide and certainly better marked than Gurgaon else we had AJ with his GPS. The drive through narrow roads lined with Goan houses, filled almost invariably with red or yellow hibiscus flowers and a small Jesus or Mother Mary statue could be seen at every single house. Beaches of Goa holds fabulous attractions and gives visitors the most memorable time to enjoy along the beaches, we thought of just exploring the beaches in the North, as we had already booked the tickets for a cruise named Caravela (All thanx to Nitesh for the Cruise superb idea) One can go for lavish cruises or enjoy the exciting night life on the beaches and explore the unlimited fun attached with them.
Everything in this carnival state is simply captivating and leaves every visitor spell bound. It is the place with unlimited fun and excitement. We went to Beach Dauna-Paula, I don't know what to discuss about this beach. Its such a waste of time to go there, there's some statue which was made in the memory of some french girl, who committed suicide ..blah blah..Oh god !! It was so depressing... I wont suggest anybody to go there. After that, we were headed to Caravela. On the way to Caravela, we encountered a beach named Mira-Maar; it is the best beach I have ever seen and I mean it, so serene with hardly any people around, perfect beach for a couple, away from the crowded world, just peace everywhere. Perfect for a beach walk with hand in hand with your lover, but unfortunately we were 12 guys !! :( There is always pro's and con's to everything.
There's a road side food trolley market outside that beach with lots of spicy junk food. I had a doner and gol gappas; they both were amazing. After enjoying for a couple of hours at Mira-Maar, we left for Caravela, the ticket included entry to the Casino with unlimited drinks, Russian dancers and buffet dinner. It was the best experience ever, we spent around 8 hours there and then we reached back to the guest house somewhere around 5 in morning.

Day 4-

For the first destination of that day we headed to Fort Aguada. It was a typical Portuguese architecture surrounded by the Indian ocean from 2 sides. Chilling heat and we were all dead within 15 minutes, decided to leave that place but Penny suggested lime soda; A few glasses brought in some energy and were headed towards Beach Vagator. It was hot, really hot; I took off my T-shirt and rode Activa all day with a pair of shorts. I suggest not to take much of T-shirts to this beautiful place, they were hardly of any use to me :P. There wasn’t much of a difference between Beach Vagator and Beach Anjuna. There were very few people on both the beach, with hardly any foreigners. We went to beach Anjuna because we heard that they put up a flea market, unfortunately, we found a small market and we had plenty of time to shop. Shopkeepers didn't try to cheat us that much but I feel really sorry for all the foreigners there. After spending plenty of time at the shacks with lovely live music played by some foreigner band, we planned to hit the Discotheque.

Earlier we had two options to choose from Titto’s or Mambo’s. However, since the stag entry in Titto was 800, we decided to hit Mambo’s ;) We were there by 9. After inquiry I found the discotheque starts at 10:30 and the disc rolls till 4 o’clock in the morning. I was like "wow", We kept killing time and checked out the concept of high street pubs (British Concept). In the mean while we met some random guy who was having some kind of passes to Club West End, he told us, there was a DJ from London who was supposed to spin the wheel that night, with no Indian crowd. :) with lot of excitement we hit that club and it was awesome. Trance (first in my list of preferred music genre’s) was the theme.
We all were some 3 beer down and I was just about to experience the best night ever.
This part of the trip is what made dancing really dirty till 2 O’ clock and we just didn’t stop. Pretty chicks, some cool DJing, Headbanging, 2 more beers and what else can you ask for. It was not the First time on a discotheque with friends but it was fun.

Day 5-
We were headed for the Beach Candolin, when we reached there, it was like we've got what we were looking for from the past 4 days, It was like a dream come true, but unfortunately it was our last day so we just had a couple of hours for the birdwatching. Amazing crowd, no Indians at all, foreigners massaging, getting themselves tattooed and pierced at wierd parts. Just everything what ever you can think of. Finally we left for some final shopping for our loved ones as a dream run was coming to an end. We had a train back to Delhi at afternoon. Bought some Fenni, port wine and Goan cashew (all these things are quite famous in there), I got myself tattooed on the arm :) Finally our journey got over here and we all got tanned like hell. Sunscreen's just dint work.
